LEWISPORTE WEDDING // MELISSA + MITCHELL

Wednesday, August 28, 2013

When Melissa saw her reflection in the mirror for the first time on Saturday, she jumped with excited. Her beaming smile was a perfect indication of how stunning she felt (and looked) in her Mikaella strapless gown accented with a feather and bejeweled belt. Melissa was about to leave for the church and walk down the aisle to the man of her dreams...and she looked fabulous!

The emotion evident in Mitchell's face as Melissa walked toward him down the aisle said everything. There was his girl. His bride. His wife. Melissa and Mitchell exchanged heartfelt vows in front of their family and friends, vowed to love each other for better or worse and cheered as they were pronounced husband and wife.

We started formal portraits at a beautiful garden on the Road to the Isles and ended a perfect day at the old mill ruins in Campbellton...I couldn't have been happier - I LOVE this location for off-camera lighting. Thanks again to my assistant, Danielle for being a wonderful light stand :)

A big Thank You to Melissa and Mitchell for allowing us to be apart of your beautiful day. I hope you're enjoying your honeymoon in Mexico!

SWEET SUMMER WEDDING // JANET + ANDREW

Wednesday, August 21, 2013

She is petite, quiet and lovely...and he is her tall-dark-and-handsome. Together, they are a fun-lovin, kind and easy-going couple...a perfect match.

Janet and Andrew's summer wedding was a dream come true for any bride...soft sunshine, a cool breeze and a happy-filled day full of love. Their modern grey and deep purple color theme was perfectly accented with touches of summer sweetness...including homemade jam favors. The bridesmaids donned rich plum dresses paired with a beautiful bloom of fresh flowers exploding with summer colors, while the groomsmen looked fabulous in grey suits with matching plum accessories...love.

At the center of two loving families and a crowd of good friends, Janet and Andrew exchanged vows on Saturday and danced the night away on an energy-packed dance floor at the Grand Falls Golf Club in Grand Falls-Windsor. Their wedding was perfect in every way.

I left Janet and Andrew's wedding Saturday night feeling unbelievably honored. Andrew is the last of three children to tie the knot and I had the pleasure of being the photographer at all three weddings: Jennifer to Alastair, who also celebrated at the Grand Falls Golf Club and Christine to Steve who married in the Dominican Republic. Thank you to each of you! As a photographer, I can not tell you how flattering it is to have a couple trust you to photograph their wedding day. To have all three siblings choose me as their wedding photographer is simply amazing! It was wonderful to reconnect and catch up with each of you. You all have a special place in my heart and I wish you all the best!

LAURENCETON WEDDING // LAURA + GREG

Wednesday, August 14, 2013

They worked together - chatting on a daily basis - for thirteen whole months before courage and timing aligned and they went out on their first date. Laura knew she had found the man of her dreams. He was kind, charming and funny. Greg knew Laura was the girl for him from the moment they met. It wasn't until they started dating that Laura learned of Greg's year-long crush.

With her prince charming by her side, Laura planned the perfect modern-day fairytale wedding. From Vera Wang jewels to a satin-ruched gown fit for a princess. Greg and Laura's wedding reminded me of all the reasons I love being a wedding photographer - unforgettable moments, beautiful details and an amazing couple!
