Cadence | Central Newfoundland Portrait Photography

Just look at this little doll!

When I first saw two-year-old Cadence walk into the studio, I was giddy with excitement. I couldn't wait to grab my camera and get started. Gorgeous red hair, porcelain skin and big brown eyes. It goes without saying...she's ADORABLE. Right?!

I can not wait to have the opportunity to photograph Cadence again. My photo journal is full of ideas for this little model.

Natalie + Jay | Central Newfoundland Wedding Photography

Natalie and Jay said "I do" at the Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Grand Falls-Windsor on Saturday. It was a hot one! The weather called for 24 degrees, but I swear, it felt like 35.

I was super-excited about photographing their wedding. You may recognize Natalie and Jay from the {e} session we did back in March. The engagement session allowed me to see how this couple interacted with each other before their big day...how they touched, kissed, even the way they nestle perfectly into each others arms. Directing them on Saturday was a breeze....I already knew what worked best for them.

The people involved in this wedding were amazing. I honestly {might sound corny}, felt like another member of the family. I have to give a shout out to the wedding party and Kim, the wedding coordinator. You were all fabulous to work with and Thank You for being so patient and cooperative on such a hot day.

I hope you enjoy viewing Natalie and Jay's wedding story here on {the blog} as much as I enjoyed photographing it!

I am by no means, a "shoe girl" - couldn't walk in a pair of stiletto's without looking like I was on stilts if I tried - but, I can appreciate a sexy pair of heels when I see some. Check out Natalie's fruchsia pumps.

Just about ready to head to the church.

...and the beautiful bride.

Natalie and Jay performed one of the sexiest choreographed "first dances" I've seen. Awesome you guys!

Robin + Grant | Central Newfoundland Wedding Photography

Sunday, August 1, 2010

On Saturday, July 31st, Robin and Grant pulled off their dream wedding. They chose to get married in Grant's hometown of King's Point. They had the most beautiful garden wedding and outdoor reception ... without a single drop of rain {despite the sixty-percent chance reported all week}.

While they both grew up in Newfoundland, they met in Katy, Texas. After completing school at the Marine Institute, the pair moved to Texas separately for work. They met shortly after and have been inseparable since.

This is Robin and Grant's wedding day story...

The girls prepared in the honeymoon suite at The Cafe by the Sea. The view was breathtaking.

Can't have a garden wedding without beautiful flowers!

Abby, the flower girl. Just look at those freckles...

A little toast on the balcony before the ceremony.

The ceremony was held in Grant's parents garden.

Now, that's a first kiss!

I LOVE the way Robin is looking at Grant here. I wonder what she's thinking.

Robbie, the ring bearer.

This picture sums up the fun this couple have together. Throughout the day, I caught a few winks and romantic looks, but most of the time they were either kissing, laughing or joking around.

On the way to the reception...it was a long week.

The reception was also held outside at the Alexander Murray Hiking Trail and Clubhouse.
