Thursday, October 27, 2011

I'm gaga over the look, feel and quality of the custom products available to my clients. From custom greeting cards, canvas wraps, floating frames, standout prints and storyboards to coffee table books and albums. Each product not only looks fabulous, but are all manufactured with top quality in mind. I'm super excited to share another product sample with you!

If you're looking for a modern, artistic way to show off your images, a Gallery Wrap Canvas Print is they way to go! Images are printed on museum quality canvas and hand-stretched over a 1.5 inch wooden frame. The ink used for the print is rated to last 100 years and spray-sealed with a UV inhibitor coat to prevent fading.

A variety of prints sizes are available from 11x14 to 40x60. Having your images taken by a professional photographer - using the latest high resolution equipment - allows you to go big! Canvas Prints do a fantastic job of showcasing your investment in professional photography. This is a 24x36 canvas hanging in my studio. The quality and detail is perfect. LOVE!!!

Canvas Prints arrive ready to hang with secure hanging wire on the back and black paper to conceal the wooden frame for a finished look.

Wanna make your Canvas Print standout even more?

When my Floating Frame sample arrived, I was in awe. I simply cannot say enough good things about this beauty. Floating Frames are absolutely, positively STUNNING! This high end/low cost framing option gives you the three dimensional look of a gallery-wrapped canvas, but the added style of a custom, solid wood frame.

With a half inch space between the canvas and the frame, the three dimensional look of the canvas is left intact with no need for matting or glass. Two custom frame styles are available in various colors. The "Majestic Collection" features a beveled edge and the "Prestige Collection" offers a contemporary look with a straight edge. Floating Frames come ready to hang with hanging wire on the back.

TRACY + BRIAN | {fall in love}

Wednesday, October 19, 2011

It took me approximately ten seconds to write the title of this blog post. The awesome play on words wasn't my idea. Fall in love was the overall theme for Tracy and Brian's fall wedding. There was so much about their wedding to fall in love with! It was an unseasonably warm day for mid October and the fall colors were absolutely gorgeous. Tracy's bouquet and the royal blue dresses she chose for her Bridesmaids, complimented the fall themed decor perfectly.

The couple were married Saturday, October 15th at the Immaculate Conception Cathedral in Grand Falls-Windsor. Their reception was held at the Grand Falls Golf Club. While I'm on the topic. If you're planning a wedding in Grand Falls-Windsor, I highly recommend the Golf Club for your reception. I have been there six or seven times this year - that many, they tell me I'm part of the team now. lol. The service and overall atmosphere is phenomenal and the food provided by Chef, Peter Butler is amazing!!

Tracy and Brian are extremely sweet! I have the best clients ever! As always, I was made to feel at home and part of the family for the day. It was an honor to photography their wedding and celebrate with them. Tracy, I know you're waiting anxiously to see your images. You may even be the first to read this. I hope you're wedding day was everything you dreamed it would be and more.

The glowing carved pumpkin was a nice touch.

KRISTA + PAUL | {second chances}

Sunday, October 16, 2011

Krista and Paul were married Thanksgiving weekend. One of the things they have to be thankful for, is second chances. The first time they met didn't go as planned. Krista was invited to a party by a friend who wanted to introduced her to Paul. Another friend of Paul's had the exact same idea. Ack-ward! Not to Paul. To avoid choosing to talk to one girl instead of the other, or talking to one girl more than the other, Paul chose to ignore them both. At the end of the night, Krista had given up and headed for the door. At that last minute, Paul came through. As she was leaving, Paul introduced himself and they made plans to meet again. After their "official" first date, Krista says, they were joined at the hip. Three years later, that second chance, turned into forever.

Krista and Paul committed to love, honor an cherish each other at the monumental St. Patrick's Church in St. John's. What a beautiful church. After the ceremony, we started the formal photos segment of the day at Bowering Park. It was a tad-bit-chilly, but the light was amazing. We weren't alone at the park either. I counted at least three other wedding groups and photographers in tow. I bet they were all thinking, whose the new girl!? haha. While it would have been nice to say hello, there simply isn't enough time to stop for a chat during a wedding.

A St. John's wedding isn't a St. John's wedding without a visit to George Street. I love it down there. You can't help feel the vibe. The day ended with a dinner and dance at the Capitol Hotel. This was the third wedding I have covered in the St. John's and I look forward to many more.

The cutie in the middle, is Finnegan.

MAKE EM' STANDOUT | {studio sample}

Friday, October 14, 2011

If you follow my Facebook page, you will already know that I recently ordered a bunch of studio samples. There are so many fabulous custom products available and I couldn't wait to get my hands on a few of them. I'm so pleased with the look, feel and most importantly, the quality of these products. I feel confident offering each one of them to my clients. I know you're gonna love em' too!

The first product I'd like to share with you are called standout prints.

Standouts are prints mounted on a thick, lightweight board with a black, hard plastic edge. Standouts come equipped with pre-drilled holes on the back, turning a print into ready to hang art!

The samples shown are all mounted on 3/4" panels. Standout mounting is also available on 1-1/2" panels.

Just like gallery wrap canvas prints, standouts are perfect for wall collages! This is the collage display I now have in my studio.
