JANINE + ANDREW | {e-session} | september 2012

We met just before sunset at the Train Park in Lewisporte. It was early September. As we walked down the dark, wooded nature trail, I was in awe. Not only was it an amazing location for a portrait session, the timing (a.k.a, the light) was perfect. The sun was just strong enough to peak through the trees and light up small areas of the trail like a spot light. Perfect!

Janine and Andrew are such a fun couple. As we moved from one location to another, we chatted about what they've been up this past year - living in the UK! - and wedding plans. Oh, the wedding plans! I love hearing couple talks about their dream wedding!

Janine had so many creative ways to show off that gorgeous diamond! I love it when couples bring their own style and inspiration to a session. Makes the images a little more...personalized. I thoroughly enjoyed this e-session!

ASHLEY + DWAYNE | {weddings} | september 2012

Ashley and Dwayne chose to get married where their love story began - Fogo Island. They grew up in two small towns - Deep Bay and Fogo - not far from one another. They started dating in High School and later moved to the city to attend college and university. They left Fogo as young adults, just out of high school and returned together ten years later to say "I do" and celebrate their marriage with family and friends.

 

Ashley and Dwayne were married at the Good Shepherd Church in Deep Bay, Fogo Island on Saturday, September 8th, followed by a reception at the Lions Club in Fogo. Their wedding was styled with a Newfoundland theme. Fogo Island offered the perfect location, while Ashley and Dwayne incorporated Newfoundland into every detail. I thought the wedding favors (painted rocks) and the lobster pot card holder was not only a perfect touch, but totally unique!

 

Congratulations Ashley and Dwayne and thank you for giving me the opportunity to travel to Fogo Island for a second time in 2012. It is high on my list of favourite places to visit and I can not wait to return in 2013. Not only is it home to some of the nicest people I've met, it is absolutely beautiful.
