LEWISPORTE WEDDING // STEPHANIE + PHILIP

Tuesday, July 30, 2013

Timeless and romantic best describe Stephanie and Philip's wedding this past Saturday. Their light-hearted, laid-back wedding affair was simple, yet had an air of mod-chic and a touch of elegance in every detail. From delicate, vintage pearls to classic black and white attire, every detail was perfectly harmonized.

The morning of any Bride-to-be's wedding is one filled with an up-and-down carousel of emotions and last minute decisions. Myself and my assistant, Danielle were surprised to find Stephanie calm and worry-free just hours before walking down the aisle. It was with that same poise and grace Stephanie organized and planned the perfect wedding, then sat back and enjoyed every precious moment as it unfolded. Danielle and I commented many times throughout the day (even during sudden and sporadic heavy rainfall) how she took everything so nonchalant. We agreed at the end of the evening that Stephanie is simply a girl with a good heart and joyful soul.

A wedding is a new beginning, the start of a new chapter and a day that should be filled with blessings and good fortune. If it's true what they say about rain on your wedding day, Stephanie and Philip are a couple most deserving of the luck delivered in each rain drop that fell on Saturday. They surround themsleves with family and friends, and embrace the love around them wholeheartedly.

Thank you Stephanie and Phillip for allowing us to be a part of your special day.

PORTRAIT SESSION // CHERYL + ROBERT

Thursday, July 25, 2013

It was lovely to see Cheryl and Robert again. Their wedding in May 2011 was the first of 21 weddings for me that year - it was a busy wedding season.

They live in Grand Prairie, Alberta and only get back-home to Newfoundland once in a while. Cheryl contacted me a few months back and asked if we could arrange a portrait session while they were here. I was thrilled!

Cheryl and Robert are still as fun and laid-back as I remember. Cheryl has the most amazing personality. She's vivacious, fun and has an innately happy spirit. Robert is quiet and charming. I had such a great time with them last week. It was awesome to catch up, talk about what we've all been up to for the past two years and what we look forward to in the future.

Thank you Cheryl and Robert. It was a pleasure to see you and capture your love once again!

SWEET SIXTEEN PORTRAIT SESSION // AIMÉE

Tuesday, July 23, 2013

Two days before reluctantly turning Thirty-Three (shhh), I met with Aimée who recently celebrated her 16th Birthday! Oh Sweet Sixteen.
Aimée is a beautiful, smart young women with an obvious love for animals.

Shortly before her Birthday, Aimée got a new puppy. At only 12 weeks old, Ella was a bundle of energy during our session. With those puppy-dog-eyes, flopping ears and ungainly paws, Ella is a fur-ball of cuteness! She hopped, scurried and nibbled around our legs then gracefully posed for a quick portrait.
Here's a sneak peek from our session...

...loved this session with Aimée. She's so photogenic.

GARDEN WEDDING // KRYSTAL + PAUL

Tuesday, July 9, 2013

On a perfectly sunny afternoon, Krystal walked through a sea of family and friends along a weathered boardwalk toward her husband-to-be. At the foot of a beautifully decorated gazebo altar, Krystal and Paul exchanged vows. The ceremony took place at Paul's parents home in Grand Falls-Windsor. Family friend, Jacqueline Carey, read lyrics from songs that represented Krystal and Paul's life, love and relationship. As Jacqueline accounced the couple husband and wife, a small cluster of beloved family and friends cheered. Their small garden ceremony was followed by a cocktail party at the Mount Peyton Hotel to celebrate their union with extended family and friends.

Krystal and Paul, congratulations! I hope you had a wonderful night. Much love.
