KAREN + JEFF

Friday, August 8, 2014

The summer sun glistened outside as Karen and her bridesmaids fluttered around her suite while Jeff and his Groomsmen relaxed in the sun before getting dressed for the ceremony. The girls buzzed around, ensuring every detail was checked off the list and made sure Karen had everything she needed before walking down the aisle. For this moment - the moment Karen and Jeff tied the knot - was sixteen years in the making and everyone wanted it to be absolutely perfect.

Karen and Jeff planned the most amazing garden wedding. The ceremony was to take place in Karen's father's back garden. I was in awe when I pulled up to the ceremony location. It was breathtaking. Like something out of a magazine. Seriously. I knew right then this was going to be magnificent! [Then the photographer in me jumped into action to find the best angles and light for what was a really bright sunny day with very little diffusion from clouds.]

Karen and Jeff stood cliff side before a sea of family and friends as sail boats drifted by and promised to love, honor and cherish each other for all time. Guests laughed as Karen cracked jokes during the vows and cheered when they became husband and wife. It was magnificent. After the ceremony, hugs, tears and laughter was shared to celebrate the union of two very special people. Karen and Jeff greeted guests in wedding bliss and later danced into their reception to enjoy a night of celebration.

Karen and Jeff, thank you for allowing me into your lives for what was a magnificent day of sun, fun and love. I was honored to document your wedding, sixteen years in the making. It was perfect. Congratulations.
