MANDY + SHELDON | {wedding} | august 2012

As I arrived in Aspen Cove, I wanted to stop the car and admire the beauty of this Oceanside town. The winding roads etched the outline of the rugged shoreline, while the waves melted over the rocky beach. A warm breeze swept across the meadows, combing the long green grass and leaving a trail of sea salt in the air. It was so beautiful. Hard to put into words.
Mandy and Sheldon's wedding ceremony took place in a family-friends garden in Ladle Cove - Aspen Cove's conjoined twin. The two communities are connected by one main roadway and share the same breathtaking scenery.
Standing under a personalized garden arch, Mandy and Sheldon exchanged wedding bands and promised to love each other endlessly for a lifetime. Their family and friends watched and cheered as the pair laughed and sealed their new marriage with a kiss.
I do. Me too. Words the couple had attached to the bottom of their shoes. Four simple words that represent their commitment to each other.
We visited various locations for portraits, which included a stop at Mandy's grandfather's old house. The weather-beaten wooden house stood at the back of a long, rectangle meadow. Outport Newfoundland houses offer so much character and charm. The perfect backdrop for a Newfoundland wedding.
At the end of the day, the wedding party and newlyweds piled into a chartered bus and sat back for an hour drive to Gander for the reception. As you will see by the images at the end of this post, we all had a lot of fun with Mandy and Sheldon's homemade photo booth at the dinner and dance.
Mandy's Pronovias wedding gown was exquisite. I also loved the bridesmaids feather bouquets.
