For me, each new year means a fresh start. A blank canvas, so-to-speak. Each year, I make a check list of things I want to do, try, conquer, etc in the new year - items that must have a check mark by December 31st. I'm the queen of post-its. So, having a list of "to dos" keeps me focused.

By the end of '08, I decided to make 2009 about photography. My goal was to develop my skills as a photographer and find ways to better promote my business. Since the end of the '09 wedding season, I have spent a lot of time researching new products to offer my clients, opened my mind to some new and amazing techniques and drooled over new photo equipment - which has been added to my "gotta have" list.
