GRAD PORTRAIT SESSIONS // 2013

During grad sessions last Friday, I couldn't help think about my high school graduation. It wasn't yesterday. In fact, there is a 15-year reunion planned for my high school class in July. Am I really 33-years-old this year? Someone is playin' with me! Anyway...

These lovely ladies looked so beautiful. They had a wonderful day to celebrate...to say good-bye to the past and hello to all of the amazing life lessons and achievements that lie ahead.

PORTRAIT SESSION // SOPHIE'S FIRST BIRTHDAY

I've had the honor of photographing Sophie since she was a baby. She recently turned one. I thoroughly enjoyed our First Birthday Session yesterday. We patiently waited until late in the day to get that soft, beautiful evening light. Sophie was perfect during the session. She smiled, giggled at her sock monkey and loved watching the motorbikes whiz by. Thank you Nichole and Aaron once again for allowing me to photograph your beautiful little girl!

PORTRAIT SESSION // THE HAMILTON FAMILY

It's Grad Day for many young adults in Grand Falls-Windsor today. As I write this, the ladies are probably getting their hair and make-up done and excited to step into their beautiful grad dresses they carefully chose for this special occasion. The boys...well they're probably still asleep :)

 

On Wednesday afternoon, I spent an hour with two little people who haven't even started school yet. It has been so amazing to photograph Rebecca and Jake since they were new to this world and be a part of their lives. Their parents - Dave and Krista are our best friends. Rebecca is our god daughter. She turned two in April and her little brother turned one a month later. Before we know it, Rebecca will be shopping for her graduation dress (Hey Dave!). Time whips by, but for now, we can cherish the moments we have...and those adorable little grins.

PORTRAIT SESSION // ASHLEY + MICHAEL

Last Saturday afternoon, I met up with Ashley and Michael for a couples portrait session at Sanger Park in Grand Falls-Windsor. It was a warm, overcast day - perfect for natural light images. Ashley and Michael also brought their English Yellow Lab, Axel with them. He was curious about the other dogs and background noise in the park that day, but wilfully posed for a couple family portraits. It was an honor to spend time with such a great couple! It's sessions like this and people like Ashley and Michael that make this job so much fun!

 

 

 

PORTRAIT SESSION // THE WATERMAN FAMILY

There is nothing more rewarding to me than spending time with a family while capturing images they will cherish for days, weeks, years-to-come.

 

Meet the Waterman Family - Jennifer, Jonathan and Jaden. We spent an hour or so at Sanger Park in Grand Falls-Windsor on Saturday. Three-year-old Jaden was an absolute joy to photograph. He surprised me. Normally, I'm expecting to work up a sweat when working with toddlers (once they can walk, they soon learn to run. Right moms!?). With Jaden in the lead, we casually walked around the park. I don't know if Jaden was a little weary around a stranger, curious about my camera or just loved to have his photo taken, but when I pointed the camera in his direction, he paused, tilted his head and smiled. What a doll!
