JAMESTOWN VINTAGE AFFAIR // ANGELA + CURTIS

Thursday, July 17, 2014

Life has a funny way of bringing people together at the right time. Destiny? Fate? or...just a case of perfect timing.

When Angela was in high school, she worked at the local food store. Curtis did too. At that time, Angela couldn't imagine going on a date with Curtis, never mind one day marrying him. He wasn't her type...or so she thought.

A few years later, Angela was encouraged by a close friend to go on a blind date. Her date turned out to be the boy that worked at the local food store. This time, things were different. They were different. That simple blind date would change the course of their lives forever. They talked. Laughed - Curtis made Angela laugh. A lot. And, as the evening came to a close, they realized they had a lot in common. That first date turned into date number two and eventually a marriage proposal.

I'm so excited to share a few images from Angela and Curtis' vintage-inspired wedding. Vintage details were present throughout the day, ranging from soft pastels in Angela's bouquet (which was wrapped in lace from her mother's wedding veil), timeless pearls to a ribbon and hemp "Just Married" sign draped across two old wooden doors which stood behind the head table at the reception dinner. They were married at St. James Anglican Church in Jamestown. The age of this church is unknown - it is estimated to be in the early 1900s. Perfect for a vintage themed wedding. This church is one of my absolute favourite ceremony locations.

Cocktail hour and reception was held at the Terra Nova Resort in Port Blandford.

Angela and Curtis, you were an absolute pleasure to work with and I'm so happy your wedding day was everything you dream it to be. You deserve all the moments of perfect timing life can offer. I wish you much love and happiness.
